A Little Change in the Weather
It has been in the low 40's in the early mornings, but other than that the weather has been great. However a change has occurred. The coast got rain, we received wind, clouds, and a rainbow and only a few drops. Whatever the weather, it is beautiful.
It is kind of like my life. I am up somedays and down on other days; but in all of that God is always teaching me new things about myself even when I feel a little down. There is still a lot to learn about myself.
I am reading Falling Upward by Richard Rohr. He has a lot to say, and especially to those of us who are in the downhill of this life here on earth; and that certainly is me. His insights have given me new hope as I continue to answer the call of God today.
We were baptized to be Prophet, Priest, & King
We are to make God present in the world for others
The First Parent - by Bill Cosby

Whenever your kids are out of control, you can take comfort from the thought that even God's omnipotence did not extend to his kids.
After creating heaven and earth, God created Adam and Eve. And the first thing God said to them was: "Don't"
"Don't what?" Adam asked.
"Don't eat the forbidden fruit," said God.
"Forbidden fruit? Really? Where is it?" Adam and Eve asked jumping up and down excitedly." "It's over there," said God, wondering why he hadn't stopped after making the elephants.
A few minutes later God saw the kids having an apple break and he was very angry.
"Didn't I tell you not to eat that fruit?" The First Parent asked.
"Uh huh," Adam replied.
"Then why did you do it?" God asked exasperatedly.
"I dunno, " Adam answered.
God's punishment was that Adam and Eve should have children of their own. Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.
For several months now, I had wondered about what happened to the ducks that were here last year. They are cute, but what a mess.
Then on my walk today, there they were in another RV park. The duck have returned but not to the RV park where I live.
